When should I put the final coat on lime plaster?

Question:Should the second coat dry out completely or should the final coat go on while the second coat is stil damp?

Answers:
When it is still damp! Or you will need to put a pva solution onto the wall first.

no actually you should always let the compound dry then sand it look for any imperfections than apply a skim coat an let it dry as well
I rencently worked on a pub where lime plaster was used, and it was 2 weeks between each coat.
