Hi i have a bad leaf problem in my pool any suggestion on how to fix the problem?

Question:any suggetions aparts from manually scooping and im trying to avoid a blanket my only option so far is to burn or poison my neighbours trees

Answers:
You could drain the pool and sweep the leaves :)

BURN...Its Fun
Well you could put a net or sumthing like that over the pool, hire sumone to scoop it, or get a really really good filter that way u only have to dump it like once every two days, or cut the branch off and say it fell(make sure u do it when its really windy out!!)
I'm sure the tree was there first, so why did you put a pool right beside it?

You could try tenting netting over the pool or under the tree.
It really all depends on the setup of your backyard to be honest.

For example we had this problem, and our neighbor was extremely attached to this tree, although we thought it was because she's a douche bag. Anyhow, we just built a higher fence. But like I said it would depend on how high your fence already is and how high the tree is.

You could ask your neighbor to cut that branch off...

Since it is their property that is infringing upon your property you could explain to them that it is costing them a fortune to get your pool cleaned. But yeah depends on the neighbors.
If the trees are hanging over your property, it is likely you can trim those portions. A fish net works well and catches a lot of leaves at once, as opposed to the 10 a traditional skimmer will catch. There are automatic pool cleaners like the polaris models that actually automatically skim the surface of the water. A "blanket" or solar cover will not keep the leaves out of the pool, but will help to insulate the water to keep it from losing heat. A great idea in the cooler months to extend your swimming season. Invest in the automatic cleaner--you'll be very happy.
cut down the trees or buy a cover for your pool
put a net between your neighbor's trees and your fence.
Ask the neighbor if you can trim the trees that are causing the problem? If you explain it to them, maybe they will understand? You can try a tarp if nothing else works.. Cover it when not in use... It might not be your favorite thing to do after each use but I think it wouold be better than having to manually scoop out the leaves each time.. Even scooping out the leaves will not get all the stuff out that falls into it when not in use.. the tarp will help.. Good luck
Hi Tony, I had the same problem a few years back. The neighbor that had the messy tree was a real A S S and wouldn't help in anyway. If you want to poison the tree just don't get caught. Do it at dust. Or you will be stuck with all those leaves in your pool and leaves will stain your pool. Lol

Build your own solar deflector that will deflect the high energy of the sun directly to that portion of the tree. In a few days those portions will begin to dry out from the excessive heat. In a week there will be no leaves on those portions and your problem is solved.
The rest of the tree will thrive, just so you know.
