Power shower?

Question:i am installing a power shower, not an electrical shower. i do not know the power consumption of these showers. can i safely take a spur from the lighting 5 amp circuit?

Answers:
NO!
Read the label on the side of the pump! Check the wattage divide that by the voltage this will give u the amperage (IE 500w divided by 230v = 2.17A.) This probably needs to be on its own 16A radial in 2.5mm Twin & Earth. Must have its own local Isolation Ie A switched fused spur and must be on an RCD/RCBO to meet the disconnection time of 0.4 of a second

Get a sparky before you kill yourself. Fixed appliances need a seperate feed and probably a RCD.
It depends on the rating of the pump...you can purchase low voltage pumps(12v)but these still need 220-240v mains to a transformer and then they are still rated at about 3amps.It is inadvisable to take anything except lighting from a lighting circuit
you should probably take it under the floorboards and in the ring main of the nearest room. I would thin would be the safest
no!! it needs its own 5amp fuse spur, or plug socket from the ring mains with a 5amp plug!!!
run 1.5mm t&e feed from its own 5a/6a rcd breaker from consumer unit to switched fused spur( remove 13a fuse from spur and replace with 3a/5a fuse) then to pump
regulations suggest rcd safer and should be used
