Can i fix my curling iron?

Question:my curling iron quit working when I yanked the cord from the outlet without turning it off first. Now it lights up and turbo light indicates it's ready, but no heat. Can I repair it?

Answers:
If it doesn't work and you can't get parts to repair it then you don't have much choice. Either send it to the landfill or offer it on Freecycle.com to someone who can repair it.

If all your old broken trash stays in your house rather than being disposed of then your house IS the landfill.

there only 5 bucks! i think? buy a new one!
not worth messing with for the fire hazard. Get a new one. ANd don't yank the cord.
I don't recommend it. The heating element inside isn't much more than a filament in light bulb. They are fragile, easily broken, and not worth the effort to repair. There is also a thermostat in the unit, that if damaged would not be worth the bother. Like someone else said, "Buy a new one" as they aren't that expensive or worth the time it takes.
DO NOT REPAIR! Replace it, they're inexpensive. You cannot afford the fire risk or shock hazard.
I'd buy another and toss the old one.
