Paint on the windows?
Question:Ok, so I moved into a really old house and whomever painted the upstairs bedroom last did a terrible job! Now, floor to ceiling I have accomplished but the windows are still a problem. They have paint all over the glass and I've tried scrapping, scrubbing, stripping, nothing will get this 20+ year old paint off. My question is: Does anyone have any ideas on shades or like a window tint to simply cover up the windows?
**Also, I can't afford to replace them right now, so that's out. Thanks!

try scraping it with a razor blade that allways works . i wouldnt spend the money to cover them up if you plan on replacing them anytime in the future! your friend the retard!
Have you tried the product called "Goof Off"?
It is really good at removing old paint,but if you have loads of windows, it might get a little cost prohibitive.
Use a gel stripper to get the paint off. Just slab the stripper on the window, wait until it starts to bubble, then scrape it off with a window scraper.
If you tint the windows, you are still going to see the old paint as opaque blobs through the tinting.
If things get really bad and the windows are really old (not sealed), you can just replace the window panes. It's time-intensive, but panes of glass are cheap and replacing with high-e glass can help preserve the look of a period house.
Get razor blade scraper from the hardware store. They cost less than $5, and have a hand grip so you don't get cut. Chemical strippers and paint removers could weaken the glazing that holds the glass in the windows.
With all due respect it's Glass, and not meant to keep paint. The razor scraper and a box of 100 single edged blades will do the job for less than $10 and some effort on your part.
Other methods you're considering will likely cost more, and not give you satisfactory results. Strippers can be messy and toxic. Goof off is great but don't get it on any other surface. same issue with strippers.
Certainly the method in painting was unprofessional and lazy, but no need to ponder it now.

Use fingernail polish remover on a rag wrapped around the blade of a putty knife.
