Can I run a 240 V single phase ac motor rated at 23 amps on 240 3 phase?

Question:

Answers:
Yes you can. BUTTTT. Three phase be careful if it is a delta system you may have what is called a high leg where the voltage is higher. test voltage on each leg to ground and then across each leg. be extremely careful as this is not the typical job for the DYI guy. Good Luck

Yes three phase means that there are three of them available. It does not mean you need to use all three for every motor. Yours is single phase so use any of the three.

Think of it as like a buffet. You take what you need. You don't have to eat it all.
