Transmission fluid/oil stains on the driveway. How do I rid them?
Question:My dad takes good care of his house and he is meticulous with the lawn and driveway. It is neat and tidy. However, I parked my truck in the driveway and after 2 days I noticed a little transmission fluid and/or oil on the concrete. I want to get it out before my pop returns home in a week. Do you have any suggestions on what product to use that will get it all off? The driveway is smooth concrete and the stain has been there for several days now. I want it off. Please, any advice would help. Thanks. PS I am going to get my transmission checked out pronto.

I've used a product called Super Clean made by Castrol. It is a purple concentrated cleanser that worked very well for me. Pour it full strength on the concrete and scrub with a brush. Wash off with a garden hose and sprayer. You may have to do it a couple of times if it's been sitting there for quite a while. I purchase it at Wal Mart in the auto section, but I'm sure most autoparts stores stock it too.
Try Greased Lightning.
get alittle Dawn dish soap,, and a brush,, will take it right off,
Cover with some cheap cat litter to soak up as much of the stain as possible. You can also buy some driveway stain remover. You can also try using some dish soap and scrubbing really well on the spots and rinsing well.

What you can try is dish liquid, you might have to scrub a little. Or you can go to the automotive store & see what they have.
I heard coke-a-cola works.
initially wash/scrub the area with laundry detergent, rinse and dry, then pour on some liquid bleach and let it do its work.
Use a heavy duty degreaser, scrub it into the stain, then pressure wash the driveway for Dad. Park your truck on the street.
Try the Dawn like Rich said, it should work. If it does not work use lacquer thinner and a wire brush. Be very careful with the lacquer thinner wear neoprene gloves and goggles.
