I am looking for a part for a MOEN shower head. Do not know model. The part i neeed as a #2187-b. model #?

Question:This shower head is at least 50 years old. The part is the knob that adjusted the shower pattern.

Answers:
Go to a plumbing store, not Lowes or home depot or a big box store, they will not be able to help you. Look in phone book under plumbing and call ahead, they should be able to help.

If you want to stay vintage, go to a specialty plumming supply store with the part you need.

HOWEVER, shower heads are standard size fittings. You can buy a new head from nearly any hardware store, including the specialty plumbing shop you need to buy the moen part from.

Good Luck.

Personally, I would buy a new head. It is a faster repair and probably cheaper too.
