Help weeds every where!?
Question:Ok i have 2.5 acers i can not spend $500 on weed killer what should I do? I have a riding lawn tractor, i can spread anything, it there any cheap or home made things i can do? I want a pretty lawn but I dont know how to get it with out forking out a grand or more total. Please help!

Try a brand of fertilzer that comes with the weed killer and preventer in it, like Scotts. Spread that and it will help.
Sorry to say pulling the weeds would be the best bet. Riding over them with the mower will just spread the seeds around and cause more.

Pulling them out, and fertilizing the ground is probably the safest bet. 2.5 acres worth of a good fertilizer shouldn't cost too much, I wouldn't think.
Worst case scenario, you can always use fire.
You might be able hire someone to spray a product on a field that size. You really need a pre-emergent herbicide put down before the weeds show up. Late fall is best.
