I need to be directed to sites where easy/affordable floating piers are shown?

Question:I live on an island where getting in and out of a boat is difficult because of the tides. Ideally a floating pier would be a solution but diy and affordable with materials which should be available around the area.

Answers:
here is an idea. take 4 plastic drums, and lash them to a sheet of marine plywood that would give the floating platform you need. Of course you would need to anchor it in some way so as not to allow it to float away. Good luck

Here is one, www.jetdock.com. Just go to Google.com and enter floating docks, there are a bunch of sites.
