How much Grout do I need to cover 22 square metres 1cm thick?

Question:I am going to re-tile our swimmingpool floor and I want to order my grout and adhesive but I dont know how much I should get.

The area of the floor is 22 square metres.
I want to have a thick bed of grout - about 1cm.

The buckets of grout come in 7.5kg.

As it doesnt say what area it covers, how on earth can I work out how much it will cover.?

Answers:
Grout goes between tiles after they've been laid. Your adhesive goes down first and you put the tile on it, pressing it firmly into place, but it shouldn't bubble up between the tiles, or there'll be no room for grout. Be sure to get professional advice from a tiler - especially one who has done swimming pools. You may need to have the right kind of adhesive and grout that are made for wet environments like that, not just regular stuff for floors or bathrooms. Check it out.
Sounds like your grout is premixed. How much it will cover depends on the space you leave between tiles; the more space, the more grout. You can buy little spacers (look like tiny crosses or x's) very cheaply that will make spaces even. You put them at the corners of your tiles or mosaic tile sheets when you are laying your tiles. Just leave them there in the adhesive - no need to remove them. If you are using mosaic tile sheets, get spacers that match the spaces between the mosaic tiles. (Spacers come in different sizes.)
Where I come from, if you keep the receipt and don't open the container and use any of it, you can return it and get your money back. You might try asking at the store, too. Sometimes they are knowledgeable about their particular products. If not, look at other brands of grout and read their labels. You are bound to get the information you need.
If all else fails, why not start with two or three buckets, and buy more if you need them. Also, after you've used one bucket you can do the math to figure out how many more buckets you'll need.
Good luck with your project. Hope it turns out well for you.

Can't answer your question but are you sure that it needs to be that thick? It sounds rather excessive.
1cm spaces are to big especially for a swimming pool, unless your using slate which would be pointless cos slate would soak up water, depending how bad your floors are between 3 an 4 20kg adhesive and 3 to 4 water resistant grout,if you have full bags spare tile shops will take them back.
