What is the deck post hole depth for henrietta ny?

Question:i also am curious to know if the inspector actually comes to inspect the depth of the hole prior to the deck posts being put in

Answers:
For most places it's 3 feet but you may want to call and ask the city building permits office, they can tell you.

Ginny is probably correct. You need to go below frost level and 3 feet is about normal for northern states for footings. I have her a thumbs up. Jessica is just a scam looking to link her stupid pictures to us. Thumbs down.
roanoke va is 2 ft. 3 would be safe. if you pulled a permit, you are supposed to call for inspection before pouring. roanoke requires 2x2x2 cubed hole.
you are just putting the posts on a concrete footing, right? you don't bury the post itself. call the building inspector and get the requirements before you pour your cement, or they could make you dig it all up again. some can be a real pain in the *** if they want to. i got a load of free cement, ( a builder made a mistake in his calculations), and i took it right then and there, (a one shot deal), the inspector wanted me to hire a cement cutting and drilling company to bore several holes in the slab to prove that it was done correctly. that would've cost as much as getting a load and doing it myself! just a warning.
