How would I fix an old window? It is the type that pushes out- and is supposed to be connected to something-?

Question:obviously. Well, it's not, and wants to fall off. I would like to put screen up somehow-since it's the only window in my bedroom-and summer will be here soon. my landlord isn't too keen on fixing stuff around here-what to do??

Answers:
The window sounds broken. If you are paying good money for rent, the landlord has anb obligation to fix the window. If you did it yourself and you pushed it down and it broke, he can claim you damaged it on purpose and charge you the cost. Take pictures, send it together with the request to fix it. Put his name, the date of your request, and indicate that you are keeping a copy of the request. Sign it too.

he may not be too keen on fixing things, but he is keen on charging you reny. tell him to fix it. insist.
