Inexpensive family reunion favors?
Question:HELP!! I need to make some very nice family reunion suveniors to give away. Any suggestions!

my aunt went around and video taped each person/family and just talked about their family and memories they have and then she put it all together on a cd for everyone to have. It also included a family tree and some geneology stuff. It was really neat and something to look back at in 20 years.

Ask everyone to send you or email is better a great family picture. Make a collage and laminate
You can make calendars. Each month can either feature a picture of each family, or you can use random pictures. Be sure to write in all birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
Before the reunion, buy inexpensive 3 frame photo holders at Walmart that have a place at the top or bottom to slide in a piece of paper for a title or description of the pictures. In 'title" area of the frame, slide in the word "Generations". Take these with you to the reunion along with a cheap Epson photo ready printer. The printer costs $59.00 at Walmart. You can plug a digital camera's card directly into it to print photos without having to connect a computer. There will probably be 3 generations of family at the reunion. As soon as everybody arrives, have the 3 generations of family split up into groups. Take a picture of each generation with a digital camera and then print them off in wallet size pictures from the Epson printer. Put a picture of each generation in the 3 frame holder and give one of these picture holders to each family that attends. It is kind of a hassle to cut up the wallet size photos in the middle of the reunion, but it only takes about 15 minutes. I guarentee the little bit of work you put into it will be appreciated by the entire family, and the photo display of your 3 generations of family will be cherished forever.
For the kids, buy glow in the dark light sticks at Home Depot for $1.50 each. That will keep everybody at the reunion, because the kids will make their parents wait until after dark to leave.
If you have access you can scan in old family photos and burn them onto a dvd for everyone.
