Cheap ways to sound proof my apartment.?
Question:I just moved into my apartment, and i got discount on account of it being redicuously loud due to 4 air conditioners outside of the complex. I want to give this place a chance because its very cheap, but i might move cause it is really loud.
What are some ways to reduces the sound coming from outside my window. Short of buying expensive soundproofing material.

LOL, ever seen the movie Hustle and Flow? Go steal a bunch of drink carriers from McDonalds and staple them all over ur walls
There is a plastic you can buy at like HomeDepot. Its meant to keep the coldness out in the winter, but I've also noticed that it keeps the noise out too. Get some of that and put it on your windows.
Also, get heavy drapes. Ugly, yes. But they will keep some of the sound out.
heavy drapes for curtains,plus seal cracks on the window jambs.
egg cartons
foam mattresses (thin ones)
foam sheets
but these can easily catch fire, so be careful
