How long to charge my solar power water feature?

Question:I have just purchased a 3 tier solar power water feature from Littlewoods catalogue. I have put it all together but nothing is happening. How long do these things usually take to charge?

Answers:
I would say to give it at least two full days of good sunshine before getting concerned.

If it has re-chargeable batteries then the first charge can take from between 14-20hrs.
Make sure there is not a battery that needs to be installed. I had some that had a small battery in top and if so make sure its in the correct way. Other then that after one full day in direct sun you should see something that evening! Good Luck
I bought the exact same one from the same place as you. As soon as i placed it in the sun it worked straight away. Maybe there is a fault with the product
Liz has a most important clue. Even with a battery backup system; anything Solar powered is only in effect when the Sun shines.

It also depends on the battery type, which should be outlined in with the product. Some batteries have MEMORY, hence creating a situation where they HAVE to be fully charged initially to allow the memory its greatest capacity.

In any case, (Yours) especially; it also depends on the size of the collector array and how much actual energy it is producing and transfering, either to a battery, or the appliance/application.
