Water tank repair?
Question:Can anyone tell me how to repair a hole in a plastic water hauling container that is used to haul consumable water? It is a pretty big hole and I can't use anything that may be toxic.
Answers:
Not knowing the material of the container why not make a clean out hatch out of the hole.
1. Use a cork

2.get rubber gasket material and cut out two pieces, one to fit over the hole inside the container and the second to fit over the hole outside the container. Get two pieces of metal slightly larger than the rubber gaskets cut out above, drill a hole in center of each place one inside the container, the other outside the container. Run a machine screw thru center hole and place washer and nut on outside. tighten the screw, thus will cause the rubber gaskets to seal to wall of container. You can get gasket material in plumbing supply section of a hardware store.
Hot glue gun.
