Where should a outlet be put on the outside wall from your cooking?
Question:i am suffring because my naibours cooking smells are drifting into my bedroom window are there any laws to say where the outlet should be fitted

There's no law for a residence that covers that problem unfortunately.
If it bothers you that much, try putting a fan in the window blowing to the outside.
Or you could sneak over to your neighbors' house at night, & foam spray the vent outlet shut- NOT RECOMMENDED!

While there may be some codes that would apply to commerical kitchens, I am not aware of any that would apply to a typical residence. (Beyond fire and electrical safety.)
I think not. But you can ask your town inspector for advice on how something can be done.
First move is to speak to your neighbour, explain that the smell is upsetting you, they may not realise that it is a problem.
If they are unhelpful then speak to your local health and safety group .
no code that governs that one, in fact he can have more than one at any given location ( so as long as it's not within 5 feet of a pool or spa )
best thing wuold be to burn something with a fan pointing in his direction to let him get a taste of his own medicine

Buy some horse mannure for your garden and put it as close to is kitchen window as possible when he complains say you didn`t notice it for all the smells from his extractor fan then do a deal to solve both problems.
