yes, but not as much as with regular pushups.
Yes. I had a minor rotator cuff problem and part of the therapy was to push against the wall to build up the muscles.

yea.. but reallly slowly... like u ahve to do that 24/7 to get a little hard mucsles.. just do a reg push up..
Yes you will!! But use light weights, small weight, lotsa reps. (20 to 30 reps) it will work, but it takes time)- Regards-Bob.
