How easy is it to replace an Oven Element?

Question:I have a broken Electrolux Fan Oven with a broken Element (as the Oven doesn't heat up)
I have managed to remove the old element from the oven. Is it just a case of installing a new element??
Do I need s specific part to fit the Oven Model (Eletrolux EOB944) or can I use a compatible element?
Many thanks in advance!

Answers:
We replaced ours (well actually my husband replaced ours!) at the beginning of the year we got the part off the website Hubby seemed to think the exact part would be better although there were cheaper ones available. It took him around an hour to do it still works and he only swore a couple of times.

Yes just replace old element in reverse order with the new one. The specific parts tend to be more expensive but I would use compatible parts as they tend to work just as well.
sorry haven't done one of those but you've done the hardest part of the job just get the necessary replacement part that fits and refit it .make sure none of the non insulated electrical parts touch the metal work and be careful of pinching Any cables
should be a simple case of replacing it you could use a compatable one but if you get original at least you can be sure it will fit properly

1Turn off the power to the oven at the breaker box.
2 Take out the screws holding the element bracket in place. These will be on the back wall of the oven, or sometimes on the top.
2 Pull the element toward you a little bit until you see the wires behind it.
4 Unscrew the leads and take the bad element out.
5 Hold the new element up while you attach the wires to it. Don't stretch the wires any more than you have to.
6 Line up the element while tucking the wires back in. Be sure not to pinch the wires between the bracket and the back wall.
7 Fasten the brackets, making sure they're tight.
8 Restore power to the appliance.
Good luck!
Yes you can and you have already done the hard work ,just fit the new element as you took the old one out .
