Stop ym door from being credit carded?

Question:My door has a key lock on it and everybody in my family just uses a credit card to open it. Is there any way to make it so they can't credit card my door? Thanks!

Answers:
Yes you can install a metal piece at the point where they are sticking their cards through, just be sure it is an L shape piece and put the screws in were that they will be covered up when you shut the door, you can get L shapes of metal in all different strengths to do the job so that they don't bend the metal with a screw driver or something.

get a dead bolt
put a few finish nails in the door stop trim in front of the latch. they won't leave a big hole, and if they can't slide the card in, they can't open it. this is assuming that this is a bedroom door, not an exterior door, then i'd install a deadbolt lock. good luck, hope this fixes it for ya.
There is a metal strip that you can put up on the outer edge, I have it in my apt building, it is gold colored and is )))))), and fits into a U so you cannot insert a card. It is two pieces and it would take a long time to unscrew it to use a card.
place a bead of caulk on the stop molding in front of the lock. use phenoseal...its like glue
There should be a half-round piece of steel on your lock's latch. This is called a dead latch, when the door is closed, this half-round should be resting AGAINST the strike plate, not in the hole. If the latch is functioning properly, when in this position, it can not be retracted. Yours has either failed, or it is the wrong one [ for a passage set - no dead latch feature ].
There is also a selection of blocker plates which can be installed to prevent access to the latch itself. Ugly, but very effective.
