How do you reconnect a toilet?

Question:mine broke

Answers:
Get the water out with an old towel or rag, turn the toilet upside down and attach a new beeswax seal to the bottom after removing the old one. These are sold at home centers for less than 4 dollars. Holding the toilet straight up and down, lower the holes in the base onto the floor flange bolts. Once on the bolts, put on nuts, tighten and put on caps if you have them, Reconnect the water supply. Turn on and watch for leaks, keep tightening until it stops leaking.

wow bummer. :)

under the base is a doughnut shaped thing which seals the down flow. remove the old one, clean it up properly . then set the new doughnut in place. gently set the toilet onto the new seal press only gently to level. hook up the water and admire your great work..

It's easy. First, remove the old toilet. (You never know...)

Second, clean the old wax ring from around the sewer line and replace it with a new wax ring-about .49 cents

Third, set your new toilet on top of the ring and bolt down replacing water lines. you may have to play with the bowl bubble to get the water right but don't be afraid to move it up or down. it really is easy.
