If we have stuff to replenish our wooden floor's, is there some stuff to help polish tile?

Question:For our dining room and kitchen we have all tile, and we have rolling chairs and they have been scrapping off the color of the tile and there are shoe marks. Is there a way to make your tile looking new or do i have to get the room's floor all redecorated again?.

Answers:
Without specifics as to TYPE of tile, it sounds like yours is a grade, or more, lower than acceptable for floors/high traffic areas, and if it was installed by the contractor who built the house then the usual practice is low end everything. If it was done by you or a previous owner, the GRADE should have been checked first before purchase and install. Any decent flooring store or any knowledgable clerks should alert customers to the grades and durability of any selection.

I'm going to assume it's glazed, fired, ceramic, and if not of such a durable grade, then is more susseptable to showing wear, etc. If furniture scrapes off COLOR? something should be addressed as to the wheels, any possible GRIT on them, the general cleanliness of the floor, and try to determine what TYPE of tile you have. No offense but it sounds like a pretty poor Tile.

Polishing/waxing tile will add safety risks. Shoe marks, if just from rubber heels or soles are an easy cleanup.

If you do consider re-tiling, I suggest you ask about and buy the highest WEAR GRADE possible. Ceramic/glazed surfaces are extremely thin; over a base color of clay. Often not at all a blend or match with the color of the base clay.

Look into porcelains, or any tile that has color all the way through, or at the very least a surface color that blends somewhat to the base clay color...IE: A terra cotta surface, should best be over a terra cotta color base clay, as a Gray/beige surface should be over gray or other neutral clay base colors
