Hi, just bought a caravan (1st one) and i need to put up a door curtain rail,can you just drill into the wall?
Question:its a static caravan would you need to use raw plugs or just screw into place

Yes you will be fine drilling, I suggest you use plasterboard plugs though as these will hold in the cavity.
I have used these for this purpose in many caravans, with no problems
it would be best to buy plugs because drilling into the wall could lead to leaks etc... which wouldnt be good lol x
Thank god it's not a touring caravan. As long as there are no wires near you'll be fine drilling then screwing
I may be mistaken, (wont be the first case), but, by caravan, I am assuming your meaning an automobile that is a van, and you want to "convert" it into a conversion van?
Why not just get a "spring loaded rod"?
This way you dont have to "drill" and make a mess, plus, you can also glue or put double stick tape on some wood, to make sure that it wont "slide" in case some one pulls too hard on the curtain.

Drilling holes would not be a good idea, In my opinion, Try an expanding pole, or velcro, Less chance of unsightly damage, Caravans are usually constructed from light faced materials, and only reinforced where necessary.
Depends on where you are drilling. Near a corner or in the middle of a wall.
You can do it, just be aware that it is a lighter door curtain rail for a lighter curtain than what is used in the home.
Carry both types of plugs. It is what they use when they build the units and add the accessories to it.

From experience don't drilll, if you haven't got the right dril and plugs it'll all end up on the floor. Just get some plastic hooks, the sort with the sticky pad, and put some super glue onto the sticky pad and stick that to the wall, this is much easier and quicker than drilling. No Nails spray glue and tape is also great for lots of caravan fixing jobs!
use small self tappers you will be fine ,had static for years in tenby
