If you have your morter mixed right, this should not be a problem. The tile will stick in the morter.

If all else fails make yourself a T out of 2 x 4. Make it slightly longer than the opening, so you can gently wedge it under the tiles.
I set tile for a living and the best fastest way we do this is we use an all purpose adhesive called(liquid nails) You can buy this at any HomeDepot store and its about $3.80 a tube.
