How long does it take for paint to dry on aluminum siding?

Question:The forecast keeps switching up... and im afraid because of rain and what not.

Answers:
depends on the paint
100% acrylic Latex paint-dry to the touch in about an hour
alkyd modified latex-2-4 hours depending on humidity.(some premium exterior latex paints have a little alkyd resin to help it level and bond better, but it dries slower)
Oil based paint--8-24 hours dep. on humidity.
the best advice, dont paint if its calling for rain. even if the paint is mostly dry, the moisture in teh air will mess up the FINISH of the paint, i.e. you will have shiny spots/flat spots on the finish.

Should be dry to the touch in about an hour. Fully cured will take about 24
It depends on the type of paint you are using and the weather. Typically it takes 1-2 hours before being dry to the touch and 16-24 hours to be fully cured.
I would imagine not long at all, just ask the taggers. Apparently spray paint dries real quick.

Seriously, check with your local hardware and I would imagine it also depends on the type and how many coats.

Good luck, ought to be nice when its done.
