What is wrong? I can't get hot water out of my bathroom and kitchen faucets?

Question:It barely trickles out if it is turned to hot. The pilot light is lit and the water heater works.

When did you notice this? If recient, it is a clog, if not, someone could have messed with your valves. If your cold water runs good than lets worry about your hot water pipes. Make sure all valves are open. You can close them and then open them to get rid of build up on the valves. You may need to remove the filters on you faucets to remove loose buildup. If your piping is old, more than 5 years old, it could be clogged pipes if you have hard water. Does every hot water line run slow?? Does your washer run slow? This could add to where the clog is if you have one. There is a valve on your hot water heater at the bottom to open and drain the sluge at the bottom of your tank once a year. Try to open it and if nothing comes out you may have troubles.

Assuming you mean all of your hot water faucets are doing the same thing, the water heater may have built up mineral and iron deposits from the water over the years causing a blockage. I would call a licensed plumber to check it out. Usually if it is a blockage in a faucet, it will only affect that faucet, not all of them.
something is blocked on the hot water line that feeds both places, it's not the hot water heater if you can get hot water in any other place.
now you need a plumber and a new hot water heater
Your hot water supply lines are likely plugged with rust or other sediment. Start with the faucet closest to the hot water heater. All faucets have a screen in them. Unscrew the very end of the faucet that contains the screen, to see if the screen is clogged. If it is, then either install a new screen, or else clean the old one. Next, check the hot water supply line to the faucet. It is often a metal or plastic hose connected to a copper pipe. Close the valve first, so that you don't make a mess. Then remove the hose, and run a coat hanger or something through it. That might be your problem right there. If it is clogged, remove the clog with the coat hanger or whatever. Then reattach it. If it is not clogged, then you have to work your way backwards through the plumbing, back to the hot water heater. Pay particular attention to any valves, because valves are more likely to clog faster and easier than pipes.
Don't bother the plumber just yet. Is the pressure ok at other points, or, is this the only faucets you have? What about the laundry room? Open the faucet near the bottom of the hot water tank (water will be hot). catch some in a clear glass. If it has lots of sediment in it. Turn off the water supply and drain the hot water tank. Shut off the faucet when empty and turn the supply back on. Check the kitchen to see if the pressure increased, if not, now you call the plumber, or, just replace the old tank.
Couple possibilities. The first is an obvious one but easily forgotten. Is the hot water underneath the sinks turned on? Another possibility is that you might have a leak somewhere. Are you getting hot water from other faucets? Are you sure your problem isn't the hot water heater? You may also have an obstruction or kink in your line. There are many possibilities. Your best option would be to go to Home Depot or Lowes to the plumbing dept. & talk to one of them
sorry i know i shoddent of broke into your houseand used all your hot water
Something is restricting your hot water flow. Check the piping and make sure the outlet valve is open and the stop valves at the appliances are open. If you still have a flow problem, consider removing the HW taps at the appliances and flushing out any sediment that mat have built up. You didn't state if there is a problem at the tub/shower. If you have flow restricted throughout the house, you have mineral deposits inside the pipes which is not uncommon in older houses.
