Answers:
fill a bottle with HOT water and about 2 oz of downy. score your paper and and spray. let stand long enough to absorb. all you have to do from there is peel it off
Get a doodlebug. It scores the wallpaper. Then spray it with a water bottle to loosen the paper. Just scrape it from there.
Also, ask at the hardware store.
Depends on the type of paint under the paper. I did a room that had a semi gloss under and steam worked great. I just went to Wal-Mart and got a steamer from them for I think $40. There is also stuff you can buy from the paint department. For me the steamer was real easy. I went around the room and did about a 3'x3' space and got it good and wet with the steamer. Then took a paint scraper or a mud trial and scraped it off. I did a 20'x18' room with 9' walls in less then a day. So it should be easy with two people!
well, i think the best way is to scour the area, they have a tool you can buy, it puts little wholes all over the area, and then use steam, steam the area and it should peel off easier.
Go to home depot or Lowe's, get a "paper tiger" and some
dif spray. The paper tiger scores tiny holes in the wallpaper,
then you spray the dif on and it dissolves the wallpaper glue.
Then you peel off the wallpaper and scrape or sand any
residue that's left. Good luck!
Hot steamy soapy water.
Use a scoring tool (paper tiger, etc...) and hot water with white vinegar. Vinegar will eat the glue. Water will soften/soak the paper. DIF works great, vinegar costs less. I haven't ever used Downey, but I have heard it works well too.
Lowes sells a steamer with all the attatchment you could ever use. Just fill with water, plug it in and give it 15-20minutes to heat. Steam away at your scored wallpaper. Comes off quickly and easily with all the glue. Not to mention you don't have all those crazy fumes. My friend and I did my hallways 23'x6'tall in about 3 hours. It goes quickly when one person is steaming while the other is right behind them scraping.
