How do you cut laminate flooring when dealing with bifold doors?

Question:I know you are not to attach the laminate to the floor underneath. So what is the best way to allow for the pivots and brackets for the bifold doors? Do you just cut around? Has anyone found any ideas that not only work but also look good?

Answers:
Remove the doors
Measure the distance the pivot hole or pin is from the door frame.
Remove the brackets.
Lay the floor
Replace the brackets
You may have to trim the same thickness as the Laminate floor off the bottom of the doors - remember to remove the pivots from the bottom of the doors first.

This is the best way to do this job and have it look good and work properly.

when this was done at my old house, the cut the doors to better fit over the new floor. worked well.
just screw the brackets to the casing and not through the floor..
Ther is no difference, unles you have to shorten the doors. They attach the same way!
I laid a number of laminate floors and dealt with bifold doors. John D M B is correct-follow his advice.
