How do i fit an internal bay window cill in pvc or hardwood?
Question:ie what is the best way to work out the angle to cut for the bay cill, is there any good websites out there that show you video images of joinery

If you are making a standard window stool type sill [where there is wall below the windows]
You should cut each sill to fit into their respective window openings. Usually you need to cut away some stock to fit to the jamb and have the outter edge close [1/16" +/-] to the sash. Once you have done that, place the first two sills into their openings one overlapping the other and mark where the outer edges overlap. Also mark where they meet at the wall [corner]. On one sill draw a line between the marks and cut that line. I always "leave the line" for a tight fit. Use that cut to mark the adjoining sill. Continue around on the remaining joint[s]. Glue the joints.
If you are making a window seat type arrangement.
You may want to make a template of the area. I would take a firm piece of cardboard or even 1/4" luan and fit it up. You can always make it in two pieces if need be.
Rough cut the piece[s] to get them close. Then use a scriber [very much like a compass] and trace the edges you are fitting to [remember to hold the scriber at the same angle for all the sides, for example, scriber pointed due north at all times while doing scribing]. cut and trim the template until it fits as close as you want the finished sill to fit. then carefully trace the template onto the finish product and cut the line. you may want to leave it long for any fine tuning.
General Tools makes a nice little scriber for about $2. http://www.amazon.com/general-tools-843-...

If you have to make template in two pieces fit each one up independently and place them into the space and hot glue or tape them together before you move them to the finish product.
Good Luck. With a little practice you'll be working like a pro.
purchase a sliding bevel or a nobex angle fix this will fix the angle exactly in seconds if you are not that confident try templating it first with a scrap piece of ply wood once you have the cut spot on transfer to the proper cill and accurately cut to size
hope that helps

If it's a three sided window, the angle is 22 1/2 degrees. Each set of windows intersect at a 45 deg. angle. Each sill needs to make up half of that angle, or 22 1/2.
I'm assuming that you're talking about the ears that extend under the casing. Cut the sills with the ears left long. Set the center one in place without cutting the ears. Cut a 22 1/2 deg miter on each of the others. Set them on blocks so the ears sit on top of the center sill ears. Now mark both ends of center sill ears by tracing the cuts from the other two. Make sure you leave the pencil lines. Doing it this way saves you from having to tweak the cuts if they don't match up perfectly. This way ensures that they will. You can't trust that the window was made perfectly and that both sides are exactly 45 deg.
call ur local window doctor to do it will be worth paying for it
If you don't like the other suggestions try this:
1. Measure your overall length
2. Measure the depth at each point in the bay using a square.
3. Transfer each measurement to your new sill material.
4. Connect the dots
5. Cut with a circular saw. Finish any tight cuts with a hand or jig saw. leave your line so you can adjust your fit with a sander or plane.
