How to resurface front stoop and walkway?

Question:I have a cement front stoop and walk leading to my home. I want to cover this with flagstone. What do I use to cement the stones in place and to grout between them. I don't want it to crack apart.

Answers:
I would remove the side walk and pack the surface then powder a thin layer of sand place the stones and then fill the joints with sand ,wet it with a hose and broom off any excess sand. The stoop and any steps will need to be scarified or ruffened up to create a surface that the new tile and mortar will adhere to. You can use a hammer or a hammer drill and chissel bit. Then set the stones with thinset mortar and grout with a sanded grout of your choise.

First steps should be chipped all over surface to be tiled. Cover steps with concrete glue then spread mortar or adhesive.
