What should you be looking for? - A PSYCHIATRIST ! ! !
A repair manual
call the electrition
An ambulance any minute now
Just cut the biggest wire, that'll stop the noises.
Thats just too daft...
Cut the red wire.no, wait - it's the black wire.no, definitely the red... Cut the RED wire!
*covers ears*
...did that do it?
That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. You should be looking for the phone number of the people who maintain the generator so you can tell them its making a noise, or at the very least the number of the electricity company. You might find yourself liable for the cost of repairing the hole. Part of what you pay to the electricity company, the property company/landlord if you rent privately or the council is for the upkeep and service of things like that, at least partly because you're supposed to leave it to them so they can get someone who knows what they're doing in to fix it.
The primary hazards when using a generator are carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning from the toxic engine exhaust, electric shock or electrocution, and fire. Most of the deaths and injuries associated with portable generators are from CO poisoning from generators used indoors or in partially enclosed spaces
Hopefully you have a CO detector in your home. Call an expert for use of the generator and any problems such as noises.
a funeral directors if you dont call the electricity company first
you should look for someone that knows what they are doing like an electrician and be thankful you didn`t kill yourself
most of the time a high pitched humming noise on any electrical item is usually some kind of relay or contactor that needs to be replaced...years of service has worn it out, rust on metal coil parts of contactors and relays.other than that there is not much left to hum except for maybe somekind of control transformer...
A wasps nest
Make sure you stand in a bucket of water before you cut any cables!
it has something to do with ur wires or something call a repair man or ur manufactore and see what they can do they probley can send some one out to fix it make sure its turned off
A way to stop the local children from doing the same and getting themselves killed in the process. You're one very lucky person.
If the thing is making so much noise that it disturbs you, may I suggest you call the electricity board and ask them to do something about it.
Is your health insurance paid up?
Are you sure that it's a generator? Most electrical things near housing estates are sub-stations. It's either the transformer that's humming or it's the resident electricity company site manager. If it's the latter then talk to him nicely and see if he can remember the words.
Get a metal pole and stick it in the hole that you cut. If the noise doesn't stop, try wiggling it around. You will never hear it again, I guarantee it.
First, its unlikely to be a generator, much more likely to be a transformer.
Second, its illegal to tamper with the power company's equipment, so, if there are enough blackened and crispy bits of you left to take to court, you could be in BIG trouble.
Third, all transformers make a humming noise.
