I need to burn the edges of paper?
Question:how do u do this without burning the whole paper?
Answers:
Start to burn it then quickly stop it by stepping on it. Make sure you are outside on the concrete.
Place the paper between two pieces of glass or wood (like a sandwich). Leave the edge you wish to burn sticking out and fire the sucker up.
use a candle and do a bit at a time, but make sure you blow that bit out before you move on to the next section
i think the easiest way to do this is to sandwich the paper between two pieces of wood such as a cutting board, then just burn off what you need. do this over the sink where there is pleanty of water available or outside. if you do it inside beware that you might set off the smoke detectors...if you dont have one (smoke detector) then get one..
If you use a flame (match, lighter or candle) you risk burning the whole thing. Instead, use a cigarette or a cigar; this way you can control where and how much you want your paper burned.
Use a candle.Place the paper high above the flame if you see that it is not "toasting" move the paper a little closer. Try toasting it again. When you do start burning youll see the red flame (cherry?) to beging burning.Put it out at this time or till the edge is close to your liking.---Safetey first cause if your in a safe spot (out doors with damp sourroundings and a cup of water-or over a sink)You wont worry about starting a fire and can take your time. (and have a real nice project you created)
put a old book on the part you don't want to burn, be careful not to start a fire
