My ring fell into the tub drain in a baement suite, hoiw could I retrieve it?

Question:

Answers:
To get the ring ,you need to access to drain pipe .Most tub have P-Trap or T-Trap be for connect to main drain pipe.
Open trap nut , they are mostly Union type . Then with a wire
take out the ring .Recommend if is not an expensive ring go buy new one.

call the plumber
it will be in the trap under the drain
Since it is nearly impossible to get to the P-trap on a tub unit without taking out a partition of wall... you could try to use a shop vac with the flex hose only with a small enough diameter to actually reach down into the drain. Drain should be 1 1/4 inch so you may need to adapt the hose down to a 1 inch. Just push it down in the drain and let the suction do the work for you!
