How many sq meters are there in a room mesuring 8.5ft x 9.5ft. how do you work it out ?

Question:

Answers:
Its 7.5 square meters

just work it out by converting the feet into meters and then working out the area by mutiplying the two numbers.

multiply them by each other i imagine
convert the feet into metres and then times them
The answer is 2.5908 times 2.8956. Which is close to 7.5.
to work this out I used a unit converter, to work out how many meters, where in 8.5 and 9.5 feet, and then times the two together.
8.5 X 9.5 = 80.75 suare ft
divide by 9 = 8.97 square yards and that is close enough for most people.

Otherwise convert feet to centimetres and mess about with continental measurements.

.

.
Multiply one by the other and then use one of the conversion utilities available on the internet which will do the calculation to metres immediately
8.5ft = 2mtr 59cm
9.5ft = 2mtr 89cm 5mm
just multiply 2.59 X 2.89
total 7.48sqm
7.5019 sq metres
1 foot = 0.3048 meters

8.5 ft = 2.6 meters
9.5 ft = 2.9 meters

2.6m x 2.9m = 7.5 m2
2.54cm=1inch
8.5*12=102in
9.5*12=114in
102*2.54=259.08cm
114*2.54=289.56cm
convert cm to meters by dividing each by 100, then multiply together
2.5908*2.8956=7.50192048
7.5 meters squared
Convert the feet to metres. 30cm = 12", 100cm or 1m = 3ft 4inches (40").
Your room is 102" x 114". In metres this is 2.55m x 2.85m.
If you're getting carpet buy 3m x3m and you'll have plenty.
There is approx. 3 feet 3 inches = 1 metre. Convert feet into metres then multiply together.
8.5 feet = 2.6 metres
9.5 feet = 2.9 metres
Therefore 2.6 x 2.9 = 7.54 metres approx.
buy a measure with meters on it
