What kind of paint is used?

Question:I have one of those white microwave stands you get at an appliance store, or in a mall. I am wondering " what kind of paint do they use at the factory?" or is there a coating like laquer put ontop of paint?

It is probably an enamel , it dries quickly and is durable , doesn't require multi-coats and sanding between coats like lacquer and is cheap

its cheap chip board "pressed wood particles.. its not worth painting.. but you could paint it in just about anything more like a plastic paint..

everyone I know who's painted one or something similar used melamine paint its kinda like a cabinet paint of sorts.
