Question:Just inquiring on the best way to remove of these asbestos shingles. I have a certified friend that will be helping me, but I am just curious if there is anything I should look out for?

If your friend IS certified, he will know what to do! You need a permit and a licensed company, or you will be putting your neighbors at risk as well. you can cover them safely with paint or other material and need no permits.

If he is certified he surely knows all of this, and he would know enough to tell you to have it professionally removed. You could be endangering other people who don't even know it - but they can sue you if they find out and have health probelms. My opinion is " Only someone who just don't care about themselves or others would just do this themselves if they are not a professional."
