I want to put a pond in my living room floor.?
Question:My house has a concrete floor, and the livingroom is 26'X20' . I was thinking about 1000 gallons, and partially covered with a raised glass floor? has anyone seen a setup like this or can you recommend a good book or website? thanx

That would be pretty cool...but instead of messing with the slab, could you do a wood deck (inside) and have the pond resting inside the wood deck? That way your concrete slab would stay intact - 'cause slab is kind of important!
Then have a couple skylights, some koy swimming around in the water, a big hookah parked by the pond. That would be pretty sweet!
When u want a pond either outdoor or indoor, u must make sure u put fishes inside or install a mini fountain...because pond water never move will easily grow mosquito ! that will be danger to you and your family's health!
no I've never seen ANYTHING like that but it would be AWESOME!! don't give up that idea!

Jk!!LOL!!
well stan, it may seem to be a good idea installing a pond in your living room but..and a big but...have you considered that water does evaporate, and it's going to give off so much moisture in that room and entire home..ummmm can you say mold? You'll need a proper ventilation system to get rid of the excess moisture...i dunno but i would not do it.
Nop
I'm going to see if I can find it., I was looking for information on a pond and saw one that was half inside and half outside a house. If I remember the biggest problem was the lack of sun inside. You might want to check local building codes, if there are any.
if you put a pond on your concrete slab be prepared, to get flooded every time it rains, you would only be making a hole for water to come in.
