Can I install an air conditioner in every place of the house?
Question:does it need to be close to a window?
Answers:
It, or its' vent must be in a window. Say goodbye to your electric bill
you need to state what kind of A/C it seems as though you mean a window unit, if so hope you can afford a high electric bill.
It has to be IN the window. Air conditioners must vent to the outside to work.
window air conditionares need to pe sticking partially out the window...
To make the air cold, the the refidgerant heats up and this heat needs to be expelled outside, otherwise one end is hot, the other end is cold and you waste a lot of electricity for nothing.
If you install one in every window you'll be wasteing alot of electricity too... if your house has suitable insulation and you keep everything shut up one or two units should be enough to cool an entire floor unless your baking or leave your door open.
well, if money is no object to you, i guess you can put an air conditioner in every room of your house. a window type air conditioner is mounted in a window. you can ask the sales person what the capacity is of the air conditioner, like the dimensions of the room and if the power of the unit can make the room cold. i'm saying this because you may not need it for every room if the unit is powerfull enough to make 2 rooms cool at the same time like your living room and den if they are connected.
I'm a bit confused by your question but there are other types of a/c units that are split-type or ductless-type. A condenser unit is mounted outside and tubing is connected through the house to seperate evaporator units. You can have a single condensor supply adequate cooling for several evaporators inside. They are more expensive than window mounted units but they are permanent and look much better.

Good Luck
If you can afford to run an air conditioner in every room of the house, and you own the house, can I suggest having central air and heating installed. I mean, that is expensive, but so is running an air conditioner in every room of the house..
At least with central air even the rooms without windows will be cool!
Better make sure your electrical service will handle it.
You'll blow your breakers if they are all on at once. Plus electric bill bill blow the roof off....I would think about central air...
yes you can , but first , you should know that if the room you want to put an A\C has a wall that leads to outside ( street or skylight ) you can put any of the tow types ( window or split units ) , and if the room has no wall leads to outside , you can only put the split units type . and make an extension to the copper pipes that connect the indoor unit with the outdoor unit . but it doesn't need to be close to the window .
if its a window unit it will have to be in a window if you own the home I would have central air put in by time you buy all the ac units you could have central air and the with all the ac units you engery bill is going to be crazy priced.
YOU need to decide what type of air conditioner you want.
Window Units
Thru the wall units
Split system units
Portable room units
Central air conditioning
