Built in Seat?

Question:I want to make a built in seat in my bedroom in a cornor of the room. The seat only needs to be 30 inches wide, and have a depth of 20 inches.

I want to make the top of the seat like a lid so that it opens on the top, almost like a chest. I want to hide a safe in it, and then make a decorative cushion for the top. Any suggestions on how to do this?

I have been searching DIY websites, but I am not finding much. Any help or suggestions would be great.

Here are some plans for chests:

Any one of these can be adapted to your needs.

To upholster the top, just get some pillow/comforter stuffing and fabric from the fabric shop, staple three sides to the underside of your lid, stuff the open side and staple it shut.

Hope this helps!
