Clogged Tub...HELP!?

Question:Ok we have a septic system at the house and my tub is clogged with hair...of course can I use Drano or will it hurt the septic.HELP!!

Answers:
never put Drano in a septic system it will kill the bacteria in it and it will not operate properly
Need bacteria to get rid of the solids
drain on bottom of tub if one screw in middle of it take screw out and remove strainer on top of drain look for the hair and get it out

No you'll be fine with Draino. You might also want to try a snake or even a piece of plastic with hooks on it might do the trick for you. A snake is fairly inexpensive and a hair-puller you can get for under $3.

The answer should be on the can, generally, if used properly, drain opener should not damage the system or the bugs that digest the sewage.
baking soda and vinegar
My dad always puts on a glove and hand pulls the hair out...but then again, I don't know what a septic system is. Hehe, sorry if this made you a little mad.
Drano over time eats away the pipes
try this instead :
there is a trap that you can take out and unclog minor hair problems
the screws are in the plate around the drainage open/close lever of the tub
unscrew the plate- pull out the long wire with the metal cage attached , clean it then reinsert it and screw the plate back on

dissolve clogs with pouring some baking soda into the drain then some vinegar instead

once a week, pour very hot water down the bathroom sink and tub drain to dissolve (melt) built up oils, dirt, goo
