Does any one know of a product that I can use to paint/ resurface my bath and shower base?
Question:I live in Australia so I need something which is available here - not overseas. I know there are professionals that do it for you but as I am going to sell my house, I want to cut the cost and DIY it.
Answers:
You could try using ESP first, but I think you will still have to spray paint the bath and base. You will end up with a bigger eyesore than you have now. i prefer a messy room to a botched job, the botched job takes longer and more money to fix. The buyer will probably just rip it all out anyway. Leave it for them to fix, they may prefer to get a professional spray job done, which will cost more after you've stuffed it ! Just clean it up with CLR as best you can.
wattyl paints is based in australia. they have a line of moisture cured urethanes which are tintable to any color. these urethanes actually use surface water as a reagent in the crosslinking process. sounds techy, but it is easy to use.
good luck...
