How can I keep the cushions for my sectional sofa from sliding around?

Question:I have a vintage sectional sofa. The fabric is something like polyester but it is really slick so the cushions slide around all the time. There are three sections and three cushions. The couch has no arms so the cushions can slide right off if I sleep or lounge on the couch. I rotate the cushions so that I don't wear them out so I don't want to glue on velcro or anything. There has to be a way to fix this.

Answers:
try getting the rubber mat that they make for the rugs so they dont slip around (they're also used for kitchen drawer lining i think). they come in rolls in the kitchen section and look like a waffle pattern or in larger sheets in the rug section. you can cut them up or just unroll the rubber mat to the length of your sofa and place them under your cushions. it prevents rugs from slipping when you step on them, mite work with your cushions. good luck!!

dont glue on velcro, get the stick on velcros and stick em' on !
Really the only thing I can think of is to get some stick on velcro and stick it on there.
hmm sounds like you need to lounge more gently, I would suggest velcro even tho you dont like the idea, its probably your best shot. good luck!
Don't laugh, but I had a similar problem with my children sliding my sofa cushions EVERYWHERE! If you go to your local craft / fabric store and pick up some extra wide velcro...you can attach it to the underside of your cushions. It sounds crazy but it works! I also recently found out that some of the retail furniture stores such as Jordan's are now selling sofas with velcro on the underside of the cushions for the same reason!
Velcro will work but if you don't like that idea you can slip a piece of rubber in the back under the cushions and that will reduce the slipping. Velcro is the only thing I know of that will truly stop it.
