A pressure washer will blast the sand form between the joints. I cover mine, once a year, with sand. I sweep the sand into the joints, then wet it down. I then sweep the excess wet sand around the pavers. This cleans the surface.
We've just cleaned ours with a pressure washer. Does a good job.
moss away available at woodie's diy
A pressure washer will do the job well, an alternative is an acid based cleaner, you need be careful with the acid based one on natural stone as it sometimes reacts with iron oxide in the flags and discolours them.
A pressure washer is you're best bet, if you're in the uk, asda have some on special, around £30 for a 100 bar washer.
If these pavers have grout (cement) between them, or are very tightly laid, a pressure cleaner would be the way to go to remove dirt, algae, fungus.
If these are driveway pavers with motor oil stains then you would need a degreaser such as an engine cleaner.
Regular household bleach will kill fungus and algae. Use it full strength and on a cloudy, cool time of the day to get the best effect. Then hose off. The bleach should not affect the colors. Be careful with overspray as it will kill plant life. Allow the bleach at least 30 minutes to work and loose its strength before rinsing onto grass areas.Depending on the size of the area you are cleaning, use either a mister or a garden sprayer to apply the bleach. Avoid getting on your body or clothes!!
Bleach or Krud Kutter from K mart I have used both and they work great. Would not use a pressure washer because unless you have done that before you can do some damage.
Muriatic Acid sweep in and then pressure wash. The acid is used to clean swimming pools
