I had a person put tile down in my bath. HELP?
Question:He put one tile down that was in a low spot. I pointed it out to him however, when I came back it was already down and grouted. When he put the toilet back somehow it leaked and the floor was all water.I walked on the tile to turn off the toilet and need i say, swoosh, swoosh. I picked up the tile that was in the low spot. I know I have to regrout. my problem is how do I fix the low spot for that one tile to be put back.
Answers:
Put a layer of thinset down to bring the area up.Let it dry and then add another then lay the tile.If the tile is still to low remove it right away and spread the thinset and let it dry. Then try again with the tile
you should not have to fix this problem call the guy who installed the tile.if he can"t fix it use self leveling cermet than put the tile down.
He should have put cement board down first. if you paid to have this done you need to call them asap.
You may need to take them all up and redo it.
yes, tell him to redo his faulty work. if he doesn't play along, be sure to bring up the Better Business Bureau. most businesses renege their defiance on that note.
Tile in the bath? I have heard of tiling the bathroom walls, maybe the outside of the bath, but unfortunately not in the bath itself.
That's dangerous to your safety, easily slip on the tiles unless they are supposed to be non slip and even then they become slippery with time.
Advice, I would abandon that idea before someone gets badly injured or even killed in your bath!
