How do I remove...?

Question:How do I remove several layers of white paint from a twin headboard/footbaord? It's got a lot of little crevices, too. I need a way to remove the paint without damaging the wood itself, thats not hazardous to domestic or wild animals, that wont hurt the environment, and thats not too expensive. Thanks!

Answers:
Renting a heat-stripping gun has the least environmental impact, but takes the longest, and hard pressure scraping is required which may damage the wood. The quickest and most effective way is Jasco Brand Stripper. Get Heavy Duty chemical glove, as a drop will feel like a needle as it burns through your skin within 15 seconds, but will not damage wood. you will be able to wipe or wire brush away all paint, then wipe it all down with water to neutralize it. Read the directions if you go this route, and please follow them closely. Good luck, and have confidence. AND WEAR EYE PROTECTION!

try a blunt knife if its gloss if not emulsion will will come off with hot soapy water failing this you might have to sand it and re varnish.
A good paint stripper and a fine wire brush .~~
I've had to do this. Use a spray-on citrus-based paint solvent and let it sit overnight. It will lift the paint away from the wood. Then take it to a carwash and power-spray the paint off.
As long as you dont mind putting some elbow grease into it and you have time sanding, heatguns and latex solvents will work, Some place sell a remover thats attached to a paper you put it on your furniture let it sit 24 -48 hours and then scrape the paint off, Most likely your gonna have to use a chemical base solvent to get it out of those crevises.
