yes but you'd need a bow or something similar to spin the sticks fast enough to get the friction you'd need to produce enough heat. You also need dried grass or small shavings of wood at the base to use for coals. It's a LOT harder than it looks.If your ever going somewhere where you might need to make a fire...bring a lighter. much faster I promise!
