Is it possible to modify a wireless phone (not a cell phone) to act like a two way radio?

Question:If you guys need detail I can post more, but right now I have an extra handset and want to know if it is possible for somehow making it so that it transmits signals through the base so that other two way radios can pick them up and transfer the signals back as understandable speech.

Sure. Use two wireless phones, operating on different frequencies. Connect the base station line cords together, in series, in series with a suitable battery (try six volts). The phones should then be able to talk to each other. You won't get ringing, however; thar requres more gadgetry. If you don't have two wireless phones handy, it is a lot simpler to pungle up for a pair of FRS radios, which can be had for about twenty bucks and will have more range.
I suppose if it has an intercom function.
