Installing a pool liner.?

Question:We will be installing a new liner on our 24' above ground pool over the weekend. Any tips for us? We've never done it before and I'd like to know how to avoid any disasters..thanks :)

Answers:
We did this last year. It really isn't as bad as you think it may be. The hardest part is getting the liner centered and all of the wrinkles out.
1. Center the liner
2. Lap the excess edges of the liner over the pool edge and clamp with clothes pins.
3. As water is going in get in on your hands and knees and literally push the forming wrinkles to the outside walls and up the edge. (this is the hardest part and if you wait until too much water is in it you can't get the wrinkles out and wrinkles in a liner are a magnet for debri and algae)
4. as the pool fills up just keep adjusting the clothes pins as needed and pulling the wrinkles

Just be careful not to puncture the liner with your rings or other sharp objects. Once you have the pool about 1/4 full it is really easy and just a waiting game. Good Luck and don't forget your sunscreen!

If you do wind up with a few wrinkles, a few "cannon balls" will work them out! Kids jumping in and out do a fine job.
