I wanted to know if any one knows wat materials you need to build a hanging bed(from the ceiling).?

It all depends on weight. Will you have to make the rafters stronger? Will you use chain, or steal cable? Are you trying to create an affect? Like a hanging plane for a child or bed for an adult. Need more detail on exactly what you are visualizing
Just chain or rope and hooks...the biggest problem you will face is to make sure the ceiling can support them...you may have ot add studs or braces in the attic beams to support all the weight.
You may want to consider just using a ' Hammock.'
